School Visits

Robogals visit Perth Ladies College in September 2010.

Robogals arranges for our university student volunteers to visit girls schools to run LEGO robotics workshops. In these fun and educational classes, students learn the basics of engineering, robotics and programming using LEGO Mindstorms NXT kits. This also prepares students to enter school robotics competitions such as FIRST LEGO League.

The purpose of these workshops is to give girls a general idea of what engineering is about and to provide a fun, hands-on engineering experience. The workshops are free for schools and run by volunteers from UWA.

Some recent feedback the Robogals received was "The UWA girls ran the programme brilliantly. They were so enthusiastic and professional."
